DIY Butterfly art

I have finally made a little bit of progress on my daughter's big girl bedroom makeover! I cannot wait until it all comes together, and get to share the final makeover. I purchased all of the furniture today, and also bought the paint. I choose the color Blanched Coral by Benjamin Moore

There will be a lot of DIY projects! I want to save as much money as possible, since we basically had to start with a blank slate.

Here is my plan again for my mini's big girl bedroom.

I love the mix of corals, pinks, and creamy white! It's a great color combo!

The first DIY project I wanna share is a little piece of butterfly artwork I created. It's super easy, and anyone can do it!

I just grabbed some paint swatches that matched the room colors from my local hardware store, and a butterfly paper punch from a craft store. I used an Ikea frame that I had on hand, and some white card stock to put the butterflies on. I also used pop dots instead of glue to give them a little dimension. Punched out the butterflies, and arranged them ombre style. Super cute artwork for very little money!

Have a great weekend:)

  2. Can you tell me which die cut you used? I purchased a Fiskars punch and it didn't cut through the paint sample paper. I really want to do this for my daughter's room!

I purchased my butterfly paper punch from Michaels. It's the Martha Stewart brand.
